When I had my little one, I decided to reduce and cut chemicals from my household. I found replacing the cleaning products easy (see my post on Enjo and hazardous household chemicals), but not so much the personal products.
Until I found MooGoo!
I looooooooooove my MooGoo Fresh Cream Deodorant. It’s the only alternative, nasty-free deodorant that works for me. I could not believe it! It’s not strongly scented with essential oils like most other natural deodorants, it just works. I love it. I use it for everyday wear, in the kitchen at work (it gets very hot there) and at the gym (always a sweaty business). I do not sweat as much as I once did, and I don’t ever smell pong-y. I can’t live without my MooGoo Fresh Cream Deodorant. My skin feels so much healthier under my arms now.
It sometimes does leave white marks on black clothing (I find it is easy to wipe off though). I apply it about 3 times a day (more than regular deodorant). And I found my skin went through a bit of a detox in the beginning, but it felt so much healthier afterward.
Another MooGoo product I love is the Udder Cream. I use it as a facial moisturizer and it’s great. I have combination skin. My forehead gets quite oily but my chin and cheeks get quite dry. Other moisturizers make my face far too oily. Not so with the Udder Cream! My skin always feels smooth and my complexion is never oily anymore. I no longer get patches of eczema on my chin. It’s great. It’s also fantastic for the hands, and even in the hair to smooth flyaways or split ends.
No real gripes with this one, except any excess moisturizer left on the tube opening tends to turn a bit gummy.
And my favourite MooGoo lip gloss: the Edible Strawberry Tinted Lip Balm. I love the natural tint, the consistency and the smell. It’s delicious. As I have braces, I find it’s essential to have a balm protecting my lips, else they get cracked, this is a perfect fit.
Like any lipgloss, keep out of direct sunlight.
I have been using these three products for over a year now. I won’t be returning to the “regular” brands.
Give it a try, even if you’re not going natural, you won’t regret it.
